This offline initiative resource page is spearheaded by HBCU Alumni and Divine Nine leadership and shared through those trusted networks.

The 381 Collective is a 381-day effort inspired by historic models of sustained collective action, such as the Montgomery Bus Boycott. Participants support Black and female-owned businesses through intentional purchases. The organizers ask that this initiative be shared privately through alumni and community networks — not social media. There is no fundraising ask and no required commitment.

Use the information provided below to discover Black and female-owned businesses. Business owners can submit their information here.

Participants are encouraged to make at least one intentional purchase per quarter.

Submit a short form after each purchase to help track collective impact.
Use the directory to discover Black- and female-owned businesses. Listings reflect resources curated by trusted organizations as well as businesses submitted individually. Please note that listings are shared for informational purposes and are not individually vetted or endorsed.

This effort strengthens economic circulation within our communities, supports Black and female entrepreneurship over time, and builds long-term habits through trusted relationships.

This private, members-only calendar highlights 381 days of Black history through daily facts, moments, and curated videos. It is designed as a learning resource for participants with access to this site and supports deeper reflection throughout the initiative. We invite you to explore, share in conversation, and use these insights to enrich your community discussions—while keeping all materials within our trusted networks.
