the 381 Collective

Woman in apron smiling outside a cafe.

A initiative supporting Black and female owned businesses through intentional purchasing.

This offline initiative resource page is spearheaded by HBCU Alumni and Divine Nine leadership and shared through those trusted networks.

What Is the 381 Collective?

Overview

The 381 Collective is a 381-day effort inspired by historic models of sustained collective action, such as the Montgomery Bus Boycott. Participants support Black and female-owned businesses through intentional purchases. The organizers ask that this initiative be shared privately through alumni and community networks — not social media. There is no fundraising ask and no required commitment.
