College Reunion is more than a movie. In addition to a fictional film about 3 women who reconnect for their 45th HBCU College Reunion, our goal is to change the world by uplifting Black women, spotlighting HBCUs, and supporting students in K-12 on their journey to future college reunions.

The poem W.E.B. and Booker T. by Dudley Randall explores the ideological divide between two prominent Black leaders, W.E.B. Du Bois and Booker T. Washington, regarding the paths toward racial progress and empowerment. Randall, who founded Broadside Press in 1965, uses this dialogue to capture the tensions and diverse perspectives within the Black community's struggle for equality during the early 20th century.

Dr. Ravaris Moore holds a B.A. in Mathematics and Economics from Morehouse College and earned his M.A. and Ph.D. in Sociology, as well as an M.A. in Economics, at UCLA. Previously a Research Programmer at Mathematica Policy Research, he focused on national evaluations in education, health, and family well-being. As a quantitative sociologist, Professor Moore investigates inequality across race, education, and health, using large-scale data. His current research examines the impacts of gun violence on schools, the effects of police shootings on public trust, and the diverse impacts of parental incarceration on children’s educational outcomes.
John T. Hill serves as the Registrar at California State University, Dominguez Hills. Originally from Pittsburgh, PA, John has over 20 years of experience in higher education, with a strong commitment to supporting first-generation college students and HBCU students, having spent many years at Oakwood University in Huntsville, Alabama. Known for his student-centered approach, John brings extensive expertise in implementing major software solutions to enhance campus operations and streamline processes.
Mr. Anthony Brown has accumulated over two decades of experience in education and administration, currently serving as the Family and Community Engagement Program Manager for the Cleveland Metropolitan School District. In this role, Anthony is responsible for organizing family engagement activities, facilitating two-way communication between the district and the community, and supporting initiatives related to the Cleveland Plan to ensure the success of all Cleveland Metropolitan School District students and their families.search examines the impacts of gun violence on schools, the effects of police shootings on public trust, and the diverse impacts of parental incarceration on children’s educational outcomes.
Dr. Hope Hampton-Crawford is an accomplished leader and alumna of Grambling State University, where she earned her B.A. in Computer and Information Sciences. She also holds an MBA from Delaware State University and has earned two doctoral degrees. Dr. Hampton-Crawford is highly regarded for her dedication to service and leadership, holding multiple key roles across various organizations, including Top Ladies of Distinction. Her commitment to excellence and community impact continues to inspire those around her.
Wen-kuni Ceant is the CEO and Co-Founder of Politicking, a sociopolitical mobile app designed to simplify and empower voter engagement in the political process. A Fulbright Scholar, Wen-kuni conducted research on health infrastructure in Senegal and currently serves as a Fulbright alumni ambassador. She graduated Phi Beta Kappa from Howard University with a B.S. in Biology and later earned her Master’s in Public Health in Health Management and Policy from Drexel University.

Known for its rigorous programs in the arts, sciences, and humanities, Fisk has produced influential leaders across various fields. Notable alumni include W.E.B. Du Bois, sociologist and co-founder of the NAACP; Ida B. Wells, renowned journalist and civil rights activist; and Nikki Giovanni, celebrated poet and author. Other distinguished alumni include U.S. Congressman John Lewis, a key figure in the Civil Rights Movement, and Hazel O’Leary, former U.S. Secretary of Energy. Fisk continues to be a beacon of empowerment and achievement, shaping future generations of leaders.
Dads in Discussion brings together three inspiring figures for a meaningful conversation on fatherhood, education, and empowerment. The Fisk Jubilee Singers has had a profound impact on Fisk University, both culturally and financially. Formed in 1871, the group was created to raise funds for the university by performing African American spirituals across the United States and eventually Europe. Their powerful and heartfelt performances captivated audiences worldwide and introduced spirituals as a respected genre of American music.
The Jubilee Singers’ success not only generated critical funds that helped save Fisk University but also established its reputation as a prestigious institution dedicated to preserving and celebrating African American culture.
The Fisk University Gymnastics Team made history as the first gymnastics team at an HBCU, breaking barriers in collegiate athletics and representing a powerful milestone for diversity in the sport. Dr. Markeith Royster, keynote speaker for Homecoming Is Not the End, a virtual event spotlighting HBCU culture at the start of Election Week, is a Norfolk State University alumnus who has dedicated his life to education, championing college access and retention for students of all backgrounds. With a B.S. in Applied Mathematics, an M.Ed. from Averett University, and a Doctorate in Educational Psychology from USC focused on supporting Black students in predominantly white institutions, Markeith brings both experience and insight to his roles.

College Reunion is a movie•ment that combines the social spark of entertainment with the structure of the education field to create a movie that changes the world.
College Reunion is hosting the Homecoming is Not the End event on November 4th to create a dynamic, virtual space for HBCU alumni, students, and supporters to connect, celebrate, and galvanize the vote ahead of Election Day. By sharing “I Voted” stickers on our social media and highlighting the legacy of HBCUs, we aim to inspire civic engagement while raising awareness for our Think Tank and building support for K-12 education initiatives. This event will also help raise crucial funds to continue our mission of fostering community and educational equity.
